Mi Familia Anfitriona (Day 9 of 27)
9 de septiembre - September 9
My Homestay Family
My host family consists of the parents and 3 sons. The two youngest, in their early twenties, are living at home. The guest naturally feels like part of the family. You can get as close to them as you want, or be as private as you want. You can do your activities independently or participate with them, whatever your preference.
Besides me, there is a second student. He is from China, and his Spanish is amazing. He is a repeat student from two years ago. Between then and now, he has volunteered in India, and traveled to almost all the countries in South America.

On Sunday, a couple of family friends were invited to the House for brunch and "sobremesa," the Spanish word which means to talk and socialize after the meal around the table.
It was a fun event to meet people.
